Dr. Robert M. Hayes
Research Center Director
Bob Hayes became the Research Center Director in 2002. In addition to the Director position, he maintains his Weed Science Professor position in the Plant Science Department at UTK. He received a PhD. in Agronomy from the University of Illinois in 1974, worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky until joining the UT Plant Sciences Department as an Assistant Professor in 1978. He has authored numerous refereed publications, been major professor or on the graduate committee of 14 PhD & 20 MS students & was named Fellow by the Weed Science Society of America in 2003.
