Vegetables, we all know, are good for us.  But the sustainability of local fruit and vegetable farms is also good for the state's economy.  Tennessee is one of the leading states in the nation in production of vegetables like tomatoes and snap beans.

Researchers at the West Tennessee Research & Education Center are helping those producers stay profitable by determining best weed, pest and disease management strategies, and by evaluating new varieties of fruits and veggies for disease resistance.
