Turf grasses can be found on golf courses, athletic fields, home lawns and right-of-ways. Turf grass maintenance is a growing industry that impacts more than our recreation. Research in the area of turf management is creating safer playing fields and lawn with reduced soil run-off.
Researchers at the West Tennessee Research & Education Center evaluate different turf varieties along with weed management techniques to ensure this growing sector of the state's economy remains profitable.
