Department of Entomology & Plant Pathology

Dr. Craig Canaday - VEGETABLE PATHOLOGY - Currently working on vegetable diseases & their control. Emphasis on snap beans, tomatoes, cucurbits & other vegetable crops.

Scott Stewart - Research emphasis on economics, biology & management of arthropods in crop production systems. Trials in 2005 & 2006 include research on cotton, soybean & corn.

Dr. Melvin Newman - Disease management research & demonstrations for agronomic crops. Trials include seedling, foliar, stem & root diseases.


Department of Plant Sciences:

Dr. C.O. Gwathmey - Crop physiology & agronomy. Research on adaptation, ecology, & management of field crops, with emphasis on cotton. Varietal adaptation testing. Research on the influence of plant environment & growth regulation on yield & quality of harvestable products. Cropping systems research, including no-till & ultra-narrow-row cotton.

Dr. Larry Steckel - Weed management in agronomic cropping systems, weed resistance, herbicide resistant crops & weed biology & ecology.

Dr. M. Angela Thompson - Specialty crops pesticide efficacy & residue trials (IR4). Corn & soybean applied research & demonstration trials.
