The annual UT Gardens Fall Plant Sale is scheduled for October 6 at the West Tennessee AgResearch & Education Center.  In addition to a large offering of trees, shrubs, perennials and pansies, the Fall Plant Sale will also feature guided garden tours and workshops.  Garden tours begin at 2:00 p.m.; the sale will run from 3:00-6:30 p.m.

Following the sale, all shoppers are welcome to attend the monthly Madison County Master Gardeners meeting.  At the meeting, UT Horticulturist Jason Reeves will share slides of his recent travels to gardens around the world.  Feel free to bring your own brown bag dinner.  Master Gardeners will provide drinks and desserts.

All Friends of the Gardens donors will receive a one-time discount voucher for $5 off every $25 purchase up to $100.  Friends are also invited to enjoy early shopping at a special Preview Party on Wednesday, October 5 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served.  *If Friends are unable to attend the Preview Party they may use their discount voucher on October 6.

With a $35 donation, you may become a Friend of the Gardens on the day of the Preview Party or Plant Sale to take advantage of the special discount.  The donations made by Friends help support many of the activities and beneficial research happening at the UT Gardens Jackson.  For more information on this program, or to become a Friend click here.

**Lower prices may reflect recent transplanting.  These plants may not be well established in their pots.  Plants without prices will be available in 2012.
